Joe Ross is a leader in the identity protection industry, with more than 15 years of experience guiding organizations at an international level. At CSID, Ross is responsible for all aspects of global operations, sales, marketing, and client services. He leads a global team of dedicated professionals committed to providing world-class fraud detection solutions and technologies.
Ross is widely recognized as an industry thought leader and is a frequent speaker and contributor to key industry events and publications. He is a prolific contributor to The Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, and IAPP’s The Privacy Advisor and has been quoted on security topics in The Washington Post, BBC News, TIME, and Dark Reading.
An entrepreneur with a track record of growing successful technology companies, in 2016 Joe helped lead CSID through its acquisition by global information services company Experian for $360 million. Before CSID, Ross served as president of Grande Communications. Under Ross’s leadership, the company grew to more than 900 employees and approximately $190 million in revenue over five years.
Ross is an active member of the community in Austin and beyond. Ross serves on the board of Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation and is a member of the Young President’s Organization and SKU, an accelerator program for market-validated consumer product goods companies, and is a Limited Partner at ATX Seed Ventures.
Previously, Ross has served on the boards of the Austin Technology Council, an association for Central Texas companies working in and around technology and life sciences; the UT Center for Identity, where he was an active participant in events, pilot programs, and the development of the undergraduate and graduate curriculums geared towards the security industry; and LifeWorks, an Austin non-profit focused on helping youth and families find their path to self-sufficiency. Ross is a three-time Austin Under 40 Finalist.
